Tom Cawley will be interviewed by Julian Joseph on Jazz Line-up this Sunday (November 9th) on BBC Radio 3. The show features some tracks from Closer and an in-depth discussion about composition, pianistics and, of course, motor racing journalists. Tune in at 11.30pm to catch it...
Next week, on Friday November 14th, Curios will be featured on Jazz On 3's live broadcast for the London Jazz Festival. The event takes place at Ronnie Scott's club and Curios will be playing the opening set. Thereafter, other artists such as Vincent Herring will be appearing in what promises to quite a spectacular event. The show airs at 10.30pm.
In January 2009 Curios will hit the road for a small tour of the UK in a double bill with the amazing Yaron Herman and his trio. Any fans of the modern piano trio should be looking out for this one.
Curios won the Band of the Year prize the BBC Jazz Awards 2008! This follows a fantastic start of the year which has seen the band perform at the Barbican with Wayne Shorter, play Ronnie Scott's opposite Polar Bear, and record a new studio album.
